Tavara Community Guidelines
Tavara is a place to find a game, keep score, and share the round with people who love golf. These guidelines explain what keeps it that way. They are part of our Terms of Service, and breaking them can mean removed content, a suspended account, or a permanent ban.
Be a good playing partner
- Treat other golfers the way you would on the first tee. Disagree about a ruling, not about a person.
- Show up for games you join, or cancel in the app so the group can fill the spot.
- Keep scores honest. Side games and skins are settled in Tavara Bucks, which have no cash value — do not use Tavara to pressure anyone into anything of value.
Never post or send
- Harassment, threats, bullying, or hate directed at anyone, including other players, staff, or public figures.
- Nudity or sexual content of any kind.
- Violence, self-harm, or dangerous stunts — on or off the course.
- Spam, scams, unauthorized advertising, or links to malware.
- Other people's private information: addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, or photos and videos of people who did not agree to be posted.
- Anything that impersonates another person, a golf course, or Tavara.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
- Promotion of illegal gambling or wagering with real money.
Respect privacy and safety on the course
- Bluetooth "nearby" and live-round features exist to help you meet golfers, not to follow anyone. Do not use them to track or approach someone who has not welcomed it.
- Recap videos combine media from everyone in a tournament. Post only what your playing partners would be comfortable seeing shared.
- When you meet someone new through Tavara, meet at the course, tell someone your plans, and trust your judgment.
Organizers
If you run a tournament or group, its rules, fees, prizes, and legality are yours to get right. Say clearly what a fee covers and how prizes are awarded, and treat every participant fairly.
How we enforce these guidelines
- Report a post, comment, profile, or tournament wall post from its menu. Every report reaches our team; we aim to review within 24 hours.
- Block anyone from their profile or post menu. Blocked people disappear from your feed, search, nearby lists, and connection requests, and cannot invite you.
- Depending on severity we remove content, warn, suspend, or permanently remove accounts, and we may report illegal activity to law enforcement.
- If you think we got a decision wrong, email info@tavaragolf.com and we will take another look.
